What evidence do I need for a warranty claim?
Manufacturers assess on evidence, not description: send photos, a short video where the fault moves or leaks, the invoice and installation details.
The checklist
| Evidence | Why it is needed |
|---|---|
| Tax invoice or order number | Establishes proof of purchase and the warranty start date. |
| Wide photo of the product in place | Shows the model, the setting and how it was installed. |
| Close photo of the fault | Shows the defect itself — get close enough that it fills the frame. |
| Photo of the model or batch label | Usually under the basin, behind the cistern or on the cartridge body. |
| Short video | Required for anything that moves, drips or leaks. A description of a drip is not assessable; ten seconds of video is. |
| Installation date and installer | Manufacturers require licensed installation on plumbing products. |
Taking usable photos
- Shoot in daylight or with the room light on — phone flash on chrome produces a white blur and nothing else.
- Take one wide, one medium and one close shot of the same fault.
- Wipe the surface first so water marks are not mistaken for the defect.
- Put something for scale next to a chip or crack — a coin works.
- Do not crop or annotate. Send the originals; assessors zoom in.
If you cannot find your invoice
We can retrieve it. Look up your order with your order number and email, or give us the delivery address and approximate purchase date and we will find the record.
